Attention to Detail

When undertaking a specific project or task, how do you ensure details are not overlooked?

Throughout the 1st year of my studies, I have been introduced to certain methodologies and approaches that can help me track and plan a project. Using the methodologies of PACT and Heuristic analysis as a framework with a potential client or even on an individual project, you can reach to potential future pitfalls or problems that you would need to solve, early in the process. Conducting an interview and taking notes of the different requirements of a project can help understanding the project in detail.

My personal approach as a rule of thumb is to conduct “interview” and/or holding brainstorming sessions with relevant stakeholders of a project. Taking notes and asking questions has also helped to even predict on potential future edge cases so as to assess and decide on whether they need to be addressed on the short/med/long term.
